The Creators' Classroom ~ Student Spark
Where the Arts and Access Meet to Ignite Student Success Through Teacher Training
For 200 years, New Haven has shaped legends in ALL of the Arts. This August, we shape the future.
In proud partnership with the GRAMMY Museum, the New York Chapter of The Recording Academy, and New Haven Public Schools, Orchestra New Englands' ONE for ALL Education is inaugurating its Young Artist’s Initiative, The Creators' Classroom ~ Student Spark, which is a groundbreaking educator training program designed to bring 21st-century creative tools directly into our schools Arts classrooms.
This visionary event, the brainchild of long-time educator and GRAMMY honoree Patrick W. Smith, was developed in collaboration with Holly Maxson, Supervisor of Arts for New Haven Public Schools, and guided by leaders from The Recording Academy and The GRAMMY Museum.
Every musical presenter has been hand-selected by The Recording Academy for their real-world expertise in music production, innovation, design, and technical creativity.
Every presenter in Dance, Theater, and the Visual Arts is part of our own thriving Arts Community.
Together, we are preparing New Haven’s educators, and by extension thousands of students, to thrive in the digital arts landscape that defines today’s and tomorrow's creative industries.
