March 2027 marks the 200th anniversary of the death of Ludwig van Beethoven and ONE will deliver with Mahler’s arrangement of Beethoven’s masterful String Quartet in F, Op. 95.

The concert also welcomes the premiere of two “Fantasies”, one each for French Horn (Robert Hoyle) and for Trumpet (Charles Bumcrot), by ONE’s own Joseph Russo, plus something you’ve never heard before, a Concerto for Contrabassoon(!) by Daniel Dorff.

One of the great joys of performing in Yale’s Battell Chapel is the remarkable acoustics. In many ways it is the finest performance space in the greater New Haven area.

Join us for a celebratory, catered, post-concert reception just across Elm Street in the Berkeley College Common Room.

Tickets are $50 Preferred Seating, $30 General Admission, and $5 Student
(student tickets are only available at the door, but you can email us to reserve them: info@orchestranewengland.org)
